How to generate invoices fast?

We’re a small team of freelancers who spent a long time looking for a ready-made tool that would make invoicing clients simple.

We couldn’t find anything on the market that was truly simple and still covered what we needed. So we decided to build Contractor Invoice.

This is a tool we first built for ourselves, and we genuinely hope it helps others generate invoices faster and with less hassle.

How did Contractor Invoice happen?

The more clients we took on — and the more partners we worked with — the harder it became to keep payments under control.

Every time, we had to hunt for a new invoice template, save it to a device, edit it manually, and then, for example, convert it from Excel to PDF.

It was exhausting. And it wasn’t just about filling out fields — it also took extra effort to make the final document look clean and professional, something you wouldn’t feel awkward sending to a partner for payment.

We tried other invoice generators, but most of them were too heavy: too many features, account creation, profile setup, and a bunch of extra steps.

That’s how Contractor Invoice came to life.

What makes it different is how simple it is. It’s just an invoice form you fill out, and an Export to PDF button that gives you a ready-to-send PDF file.

How does it work?

Using the service takes only three steps:

Step 1.

Fill in all the required invoice fields in Edit mode.

Step 2.

In Preview mode, check how your invoice looks. If you want to add or change anything, go back to Edit mode.

If everything looks good, move on to the next step.

Step 3.

Click Export to PDF and get a saved PDF version of your invoice.

Right after that, you can send it to your client — or keep it for your own use in PDF format.
